RESUMO:
The project Volunteering - act of citizenship, aims to motivate young people to be active contributors to community development by encouraging them to take initiative and be active citizens. It will open the space to explore and exchange practices in the field of youth work development and support processes of inclusion of youngsters from marginalized communities. The EVS volunteers will work on creating links between young people from marginalized and diverse communities (rural areas, suburbs, ethnically mixed communities), through supporting youth initiatives and providing leisure time activities and information services for youth. Further they will support and monitor local processes in youth policy development. Throughout their service they will develop sense for initiative, communication skills and entrepreneurial attitudes.
DESCRIÇÃO DA ORGANIZAÇÃO DE ACOLHIMENTO:
The Centre for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organization that works on national level in Macedonia. It was formed in May 2006 by active youth leaders and youth workers from Kumanovo. CID works for society of intercultural dialogue, active citizenship and sustainable development where all people live together with mutual respect.
The mission of the Centre for Intercultural Dialogue is to promote and support intercultural understanding and cooperation, peace and solidarity through active youth participation in the society, and especially through volunteer involvement on local and international level. Center for intercultural dialogue main focus is on young people from diverse religious, ethnic, national and other beliefs who are at the same time creators and beneficiaries of our activities. Our main target group is university students, secondary school students and recent graduates. CID also works with public administration that works with young people as well as all stakeholders involved in inter-community dialogue and youth development on local, national and international level.

· Interessado(a) pela arte e cultura, media e comunicação/Informações à juventude;
· Aberto ao convívio com pessoas de diferentes nacionalidades;
· Com conhecimentos básicos de inglês, que permita a comunicação;
· Preparado para viver num país como a Macedónia.
The process of selection will be done based on a motivation letter, expectations of the volunteers and interviews to sum up the willingness of the potential volunteers to learn and improve
ATIVIDADES A DESENVOLVER:
• To develop tools and practices for delivering local youth work in multicultural groups including tools that use dance, theatre, music and drawing;
• To make youth work accessible to young people with fewer opportunities so they can benefit the most from the youth activities and can increase the quality of life in the area where they live;
• To support spirit of initiative of young people from the local communities involved ;
• To increase sustainability of local youth work programmes focused on intercultural dialogue;
• To develop youth work competences of volunteers and ability to transfer best practices from one to another organization;
• To increase volunteers’ sprit of initiative and ability to work toward a more inclusive society.
BENEFÍCIOS PESSOAIS:
The project will aim to increase the employability of the volunteers by supporting them in developing life-skills (communication, usage of new technologies, intercultural awareness, entrepreneurship and leadership).
OFERECE-SE:
· Apoio no pagamento de despesas associadas;
· Professor particular para aprender a lingual (Macedonian). Todas as semanas terá uma lição de 1.5horas;
· Subsídio mensal de 95eur (dinheiro de bolso);
